Seasonal Notes
November through February is a fantastic time to visit Thailand. Temperatures are pleasant and mild, and the humidity is lower which makes outdoor activities more enjoyable. December and January are the peak months with the most visitors. We recommend November or February to assist with tourism dispersal and help combat overtourism.

Beyond our expectations!
Thank you for making what we wanted to happen beyond our expectations! Our whole trip went smoothly because of the planning that you did. We had such an excellent trip. Every stop was special. Our accommodations were superb.
Our trip was self-guided at times and at other times guided. We so appreciated the guides we had in Chiang Mai and Bangkok. The lantern festival was so special because our guide planned it so well!
Everything we did was so much fun and interesting. We had a perfect variety of experiences. Our guides listened to any requests and made it happen!

My first Privately Guided trip... and I loved it!
This was a privately guided and self guided trip booked through Yugan Earthside that I would highly recommend. I had never done a guided trip before and loved this.
I highly recommend booking a trip through Yugen Earthside. They were supportive, flexible and worked with us to create the trip we wanted. Everything went so smoothly, we could not have asked for a more perfect adventure! The trip partners in Thailand were wonderful. We felt truly spoiled! Our guides were friendly, fun and knowledgeable, while also being flexible to our wishes and goals for our trip. We learned so much from our guides! They made all the difference when traveling in a foreign country. We also had 3 "free" days, which were unguided and a relaxing way to explore and unwind on the beaches.
My favorite parts of the trip:
Visiting Chiang Mai and attending and participating in the Lantern Festival, which was an amazing way to learn about the culture as well as explore the city. Riding around the city in a Tuk Tuk was a fun way to explore the many beautiful temples, learn the customs and try some delicious food.
Visiting the Elephant Refuge and having the opportunity to spend time with these beautiful elephants, feeding them, walking with them and even getting into the water with them is something I had never imagined.
If you like Thai food, the food experience was worth the trip. We had many opportunities to try food in lots of different venues, from a beautiful dinner outside at a quiet farmhouse, watching local dancers and listening to musicians while we ate, to an amazing lunch on the river, to visiting the street vendors.
The beaches were breathtaking and warm as bath water.
And a visit isn't complete without a day or two in Bangkok, a busy and beautiful city, especially at night!
Yugen Earthside provides sustainable and low carbon impact traveling, which is very important to us. Our trip included low-carbon impact activities (walking, trekking...), local and eco-friendly lodgings, slow travel (2+ nights in each lodging), vegetarian & vegan options, supported small local businesses, rural tourism ('tourism dispersal') and meaningful local interactions. We observed "leave no trace" principles in action!
Working with Yugen was easy and supportive and I am very satisfied with the customer service and the trip overall!
I would definitely book another trip through them.
