The below trips are just a handful of programs that cater specifically to student travel. These are experiences that mindfully connect travelers to the natural environment and local communities, where the emphasis is on education and self-growth.

How big can student groups be?

We accommodate student groups both large and small. Most of our trips are naturally designed for groups of four to 12. For groups larger than 12, it's no problem to modify the itinerary, transportation, and accommodation to ensure a comfortable and impactful experience for everyone.

Are the trips educational?

All of our trips are thoughtfully designed, and the trips we recommend for students include specific learning elements - whether about nature, wildlife, marine life, physical health and wellness, history, or culture.

It can be gladly accommodated if you'd like to build in additional elements or breakout sessions with your trip lead/educator.

Can students get academic credit for these trips?

While the academic institution will have the final say, we are happy to work with the trip lead/educator to ensure the necessary elements are in place for the students to get academic credit.

  • Most trips already include local experts, educators, or scientists accompanying the group.
  • We can source specialists targeting the specific academic purpose of the trip as needed.
  • The trip lead/educator accompanying the students may be as involved as they wish in the program design and implementation.

Is customization possible?

Absolutely! Listed trips can be taken as-is, modified slightly, or completely customized. You may use the itineraries as inspiration and work with us to ensure there are sufficient educational elements to meet the out-of-classroom goals for your students.

Can we help with flights?

Yes, on request, for groups of 10 or more. Any bids or estimates that include flights will be subject to change based on market rates. Important to note:

  • Many airlines do not release flight schedules and prices more than 11 months in advance.
  • Group quotes for flights sometimes cannot be held without a deposit.
  • Group flights may be priced higher than what individuals see online because they include extra flexibility, including name changes and payment plans.

How do payments work for student group travel?

Yugen Earthside is an American company and payments will be in USD. Group payments can happen in one of two ways:

  1. Students can pay the academic institution directly and it can pay Yugen Earthside via wire transfer.
  2. We can create a secure group booking link and students can pay Yugen Earthside directly.

In both cases, we accept a deposit payment followed by one or two installment payments.
